Our slate calls are made with a special Pennsylvania hard rock slate. The type of wood that we use are hard wood from Pennsylvania and exotic wood from South America. The various woods create different sounds. As you can see, some of our calls are made from a single piece of wood while others are a laminated combination of woods.
